Adesta completes fiber optic infrastructure for Colorado Springs School District #11
(EMAILWIRE.COM, May 29, 2008 ) OMAHA, Neb., – Adesta, LLC, a systems integrator and project management company for communication networks and electronic security systems, has completed a $2.86 million fiber optic infrastructure project to sixty one district schools and school facilities in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The district’s network will deploy new, dedicated, fiber optic laterals, connected directly to the City of Colorado Springs fiber optic network. These connections will provide the district with reliable, dedicated, high-capacity connections to all their facilities, while leveraging existing, city-owned backbone infrastructure.

Now complete, the network provides enhanced educational services and equal educational access for district students. Interaction in an efficient and cost-effective manner will be possible for students physically separated by location. Advanced services enabled by the network include distance learning, video conferencing, high-speed Internet access, telephone voice services and data services.

“Adesta is proud to be a key player in building advanced telecommunications networks for the educational market,” said Bob Sommerfeld, President of Adesta. “The district’s network will allow them to easily expand services to their facilities as they continue to grow.”

“Making sure our district has access to advanced services is critical to educating our youth for the 21st Century,” said Terry Bishop, Superintendent, Colorado Springs School District #11. “We have appreciated Adesta’s attention to safety and their commitment to providing our network on time and on budget.”
